Lerwick Liner records fall again

In a cruise season awash with records at Lerwick another was broken this morning with the arrivals of the P&O cruise liner Artemis.

Not withstanding the fact that she has become the largest vessel ever to berth alongside the port's quay's, the liner also becomes the longest at a length of 230metres.

Due to calm if misty conditions the original plan for tendering was changed for a berthing at Holmsgarth 5, the ship towered over everything else in port and makes an inpressive sight.

Above are photos of her approach and subsquent berthing.
